We are looking for a Full Time Scale Operator for our Metal Recycling Yard. The ideal candidate will be able to follow directions, learn our processes of operations, be a contributing member of a team and interact professionally with customers in person and on the phone.

Essential Functions :

• Prepare and operate scales for daily use
• Inspect customer’s cargo to guarantee it falls under acceptable items and material
• Maintain inbound and outbound materials and weights
• Provide professional customer interactions
• Confidently handle cash transactions
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and climb
• Social Media Content Management
• Answer all phone calls and handle office duties and projects as requested
• Record weight data and transaction details in the computer system
• Work with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, etc)

Experience

• Basic math skills are essential for accurately weighing products and cash handling
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate of $20 to $24 per hour

(Based on several factors which include: skillset, experience and current market data)

Hours:

• Monday thru Friday
• 7:20 AM until 4:05 PM
• Includes a half hour unpaid lunch
• Optional Saturday shift
