We invite universities, research institutes, government ministries, NGOs, industry partners, startups, students, postdocs, and community organizations to join us in advancing science, technology, and societal impact in Cameroon.

Eligibility and Requirements

- Organizations: universities, research centers, NGOs, industry partners located in Cameroon or Africa.
- Individuals: researchers, students, faculty, and professionals with relevant expertise.
- Documentation:
- Organization: official letter of partnership or MoU (if applicable).
- Individual: CV or biosketch, statement of interest, and letters of support (optional but encouraged).
- Proposals: executive summary, objectives, methods, budget outline.
- Ethics & Compliance: evidence of ethical approval when required; data privacy and IP considerations.

Get Involved with CIRI
Ways to Get Involved
1. Collaborate on Research Projects
- Partner with CIRI on existing or new interdisciplinary studies.
- How: Fill the online collaboration interest form.
- Focus Areas: Health, agriculture & food security, climate & environment, data science & digital transformation, education & human development.
2. Apply for Grants and Funding
- Access joint grants and seed funding with CIRI as a co-applicant.
- Eligibility: Cameroonian/regional institutions, researchers with active projects.
- How: Review opportunities in our Opportunities Feed and submit via the Grant Applications Portal.
3. Partner with Institutions
- Establish MoUs and joint labs for shared facilities and capabilities.
- Opportunities for staff exchanges, fellowships, and co-supervised PhD programs.
4. Volunteer and Outreach
- Student internships, ambassador roles, school outreach, and community workshops.
- How: Fill the Volunteer Form.
5. Peer Review and Advisory Roles
- Review proposals, provide strategic guidance, and join advisory boards.
- Criteria: Domain expertise, prior publication, and project experience.
6. Host and Attend Events
- Participate in conferences, workshops, hackathons, and webinars hosted by or with CIRI.
- Become a speaker, workshop facilitator, or organizer.
7. Data, Tools, and Resources
- Share datasets, software, models, or methodologies (with proper licensing).
- Data governance: Adherence to consent, privacy, and ethical standards.
8. Mentorship and Capacity Building
- Join mentorship programs for early-career researchers and graduate students.
- Training in grant writing, research methods, and project management.
